How to plot null values in graphs and charts in Google Spreadsheet

Question:

I have a line graph with some empty data cells that Google ignores, leaving a charted line with breaks.

How can I get a continuous line to display without "making up" values.  Ignoring the gap won't work because I need the x axis to reflect the proper scale (time in my case).



Solution:

Click on line graph/chart and then click on the "Advanced edit.."
Have a look at the following screenshot:



And then in "Chart Editor" >> "Customize" >> "Features" >> select "Plot null values" and then click on update.

  1. Hi, thanks for your tips. My left vertical axis only shows "null" instead of values from 1-6 although when I click, I can choose range from 1-6. Please help to advise. Thanks so much.
